Four members of the Wayne State University men’s golf team were named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) postseason awards for the 2025-26 season, according to a May 14 announcement. The student-athletes recognized are Andrew Daily, Josh Lahner, Troy Chapman, and Will Pollack.
The recognition highlights individual achievements during a competitive season for Wayne State Warriors Men’s Golf. The team holds membership in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and participates in NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics from Detroit, Michigan, according to the official website.
Daily earned Second Team All-GLIAC honors for the second time in his career after previously being named GLIAC Men’s Golfer Freshman of the Year and Honorable Mention All-GLIAC last year. He played all 27 rounds across 11 tournaments this season and recorded six top-10 finishes with an average score of 72.5. His best result was finishing as runner-up at the Glenmoor Fall Invitational on September 8-9.
Lahner also made Second Team All-GLIAC following a strong junior year where he played every round alongside Daily. He claimed his first collegiate victory at the Pawleys Island Beach Bash in March by shooting two-under par over two rounds against more than one hundred competitors. Lahner posted eight top-25 finishes with an average score of 73.6 for the year.
Chapman received Second Team honors after returning from a redshirt season; he competed in all but one round and achieved nine top-25 finishes including five inside the top ten. His standout performances came late in tournaments, including a low round of 67 at Findlay Spring Invite.
Pollack earned Honorable Mention recognition as a freshman after playing in ten tournaments and recording two under-par rounds during his debut campaign. He finished second individually twice this season and averaged a score of 74.7 per round.
The Warriors’ representation on this year’s GLIAC teams reflects both experience and emerging talent within their roster.
