Wayne State University senior Shea Tripp has been named to the D2CCA All-Midwest Region Second Team. The announcement was made by the organization on Thursday.

Tripp, a forward from Jackson, Michigan, completed her final season with the Green and Gold by setting personal records in various categories. These include points (450), rebounds (250), assists (127), three-pointers made (21), minutes played (991), field goals made (175), field goal percentage (.494), and three-point field goal percentage (.368).

Her career achievements place her fourth in program history with 1,328 points and second among women’s basketball players at WSU over the past 32 seasons. Tripp averaged 12.0 points per game, ranking 16th for players with a minimum of 50 games played. She is fifth all-time with 495 field goals made and ranks 24th in all-time field goal percentage (.468). Her 293 free throws are fourth in program history, and her .783 career free throw percentage ranks 12th for those with at least 90 made.

Tripp’s total of 700 rebounds is seventh in Wayne State’s records, while her average of 6.3 rebounds per game ranks 19th among those who have played at least 50 games. She also stands seventh in career assists with a total of 344 and eighth in assists per game with an average of 3.1.

Defensively, Tripp recorded 45 blocked shots and finished her career with the most steals since 1986, totaling 237 to rank fourth in program history. Her average of 2.1 steals per game is ranked eleventh for players with at least fifty games played.

She participated in a total of 111 games during her time at Wayne State, tying for seventh place all-time, while her number of starts—91—ties for eighth place. Tripp accumulated a total of 2,942 minutes on the court during her collegiate career.
