Wayne State University women’s basketball player Shea Tripp has been nominated for the inaugural Good Works Team, presented by Allstate and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). The nomination recognizes student-athletes who excel in academics, sports, and community impact.

A total of 193 student-athletes were nominated by athletics administrators, conference office staff, and coaches. These nominees are recognized for their leadership, service, and character. Tripp is the only student-athlete from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) to be nominated and one of three females from the Midwest Region.

Nominations can include one female and one male student-athlete from each winter sport at an institution. Eligible schools must represent NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, or Junior/Community Colleges. Nominees must have completed at least one year of college coursework.

“These young women and men are more than competitors – they’re leaders, changemakers and role models,” said Holly Rowe, ESPN reporter and Allstate NACDA Ambassador. “Their influence extends beyond the game.”

The final team will consist of 20 members—10 female and 10 male student-athletes—selected by a distinguished committee that includes Rowe and ESPN analyst Sam Acho.

The Allstate NACDA Good Works Team builds on the legacy of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. Elizabeth Brady from Allstate commented on the importance of recognizing athletes who demonstrate dedication to service and leadership.

Allstate Corporation provides protection products through various distribution channels. NACDA is a professional association for college athletics administrators with over 23,000 members across North America.
