CITY OF HAMTRAMCK: Safe Routes to School Kick-Off

Studentwalking

City of Hamtramck issued the following announcement on Oct. 29.

Safe Routes to School is a program that uses a variety of education, engineering, and enforcement strategies that help make routes safer for children to walk and bicycle to school and encouragement strategies to entice more children to walk and bike.

The City of Hamtramck, Hamtramck Public Schools, and the Eastern Michigan University REACH program would like to bring together people from the community to find out more about the SRTS program, help create a vision and generate next steps for SRTS in Hamtramck, and meet the EMU REACH team and learn more.

If you have questions, you may contact the EMU REACH program through Jessica Donnelly at jmoon8@emich.edu or (734) 487-4420.
