City of Grosse Pointe Park issued the following announcement on Nov. 14.
The City of Grosse Pointe Park is proud to announce it has been selected by NextEnergy, a Detroit-based non-profit technology accelerator, as the location to test and pilot a technology solution from AutoGuardian by SmartCone, the winner of the NextChallenge: Smart Cities Demonstration Grant Award.
The goal of the solution (to be installed at two intersections in the Park this November) is to bring awareness to crossing pedestrians and reduce the speed of traffic while the crosswalk is active.We would also like to hear directly from residents, both before installation and after the solution has been activated.
