Keynote Speaker: Kevin Ozar, Our Community Lenses.
Kevin’s keynote will focus on the way our experiences shape the way we see the world around us. From his time growing up on the Eastside of Detroit and his years as an educator, Kevin will share how we seem to always find what we are looking for, and how we frequently miss so much that is right in front of our face. There will also be an activity element, because no matter how good a speaker is, just sitting and listening is never the best way to learn.
Breakout sessions include: social media, student panels, cultural competency, anxiety, trauma, unconscious bias, vaping, special education, early intervention, the transition to middle school, and more.
Childcare provided, register in advance.
