Wayne County Public Schools issued the following announcement on March 21.
Wow! Our amazing School Nutrition staff gave out nearly 12,000 meals this week! Today alone, they served 6,800!
We want to express our sincerest appreciation for them and all of our staff for working so hard and on such short notice this week to be a part of the state-wide effort to provide essential services and academic supports to our students during this unprecedented school closure.
