City of Grosse Pointe Farms issued the following announcement on April 24.
As we are sure many of you know this morning the Governor extended the Stay at Home Order until May 15th but with that also eliminated the ban on motorized boating.
Since the announcement we have been working to come up with a plan in order for the harbor to open as scheduled on May 1st while also staying compliant with the Stay at Home order and minimizing the risk to our staff along with ensuring we aren’t potentially spreading the virus.
We intend to release more information on our plan in the coming days. In the meantime we kindly ask that all boaters refrain from putting their boats into the harbor prior to May 1st this is due to the lack of staff currently onsite and for the safety and security of your boat. We thank you for your patience and hope that everyone stays safe and healthy.
