Wayne County Public Schools issued the following announcement on May 4.
We have served up over 65,000 meals since our school buildings closed! To celebrate and recognize our School Lunch Heroes, Dr. Dunsmore and his Cabinet are spending the morning delivering sweet treats to all ten meal pick-up sites.
Thank you to all WCPS School Nutrition staff and our volunteers for serving up thousands of meals every week for students! Stay tuned to our page today as we recognize more School Lunch Heroes we're so lucky to work with. #OurNCSchoolHeroes
