City of Grosse Pointe Park issued the following announcement on June 27.
Today, the City of Grosse Pointe Park received its daily report from Wayne County of COVID-19 cases. Overall, the County had 76 cases confirmed today with 12 of them from Grosse Pointe Park. For the last week or so, the counts in the Grosse Pointes have been increasing by about 10-15 in total after having been stable for about a month.
Due to the spike in cases today, the City is asking residents, neighbors and friends to please continue the following:
1. Stay home if you are sick
2. Cover your mouth and nose with your elbow when coughing or sneezing
3. Wear a mask and keep a 6 ft distance
4. Wash your hands frequently with warm soapy water for at least 20 seconds
5. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
This is part of an effort to continue slowing the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). If you believe you have been exposed to COVID-19 and are symptomatic, call your health care provider. If you do not have a health care provider, please call the nearest hospital.
