CITY OF GROSSE POINTE PARK: Tennis Lessons

Tennis

City of Grosse Pointe Park issued the following announcement on July 1.

The Parks and Recreation Department offers tennis lessons to children age 5 and older at Windmill Pointe Park. You may sign up for as many weeks as you want. All players must bring a can of tennis balls and their tennis racquet on the first day of class. Players will learn tennis rules and etiquette to use on the courts. Skills will be taught by incorporating games into lesson plans, making it an overall fun experience while learning this great sport.

There will be standing dots on the court to keep children six feet apart.  Each child will have their own tube to pick up the balls.  Twelve children per time slot with four children per court.  Hand sanitizer will also be provided. We ask that parents keep their children socially distanced from other children waiting for their time slot to begin.

Week I    July 9 - July 12

Week II    July 16 - July 19

Week III    July 23 - July 26

Week IV    July 30 - Aug 2

Week V     Aug 6 - Aug 9

You can sign up at the Parks & Recreation Office, or at https://recpro.grossepointepark.org/default.aspx
