WAYNE COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS: First day of school is on Monday, August 17th

Coverpage effectiveness of corporate training

Wayne County Public Schools issued the following announcement on Aug. 15.

The first day of school is on Monday, August 17th, for all of our schools on a traditional calendar. Whether you are attending remote, virtual, or eventually in the physical classroom, we are excited to have our students back and look forward to a successful school year ahead!

If you have not received a call yet from your child’s teacher about the start of school induction meetings, we need for you to contact the school Monday morning so you can get your meeting scheduled and to make sure they have your best contact information on file. Induction meetings are like a personalized open house for you and your child and will help give you a better understanding of schedules, expectations, and how to access remote instruction.

If your child needs lunch or breakfast, daily curbside pickup will be available at most schools from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM beginning Monday. Edgewood and Wayne Academy students need to visit a school closest to them if they would like to pick up their free meals. If you are looking for back to school information and resources, go to the district website at www.waynecountyschools.org.
