City of Grosse Pointe Farms issued the following announcement on Sept. 3.
Summer property taxes are due no later than September 15, 2020. To avoid any interest for late payment, your payment must be received by the Treasury Department by that date. Payments can be made online, using the white drop box behind City Hall, in person, or via U.S. mail. However, please note: payments by mail are recorded by the City on the date received, not the date postmarked. Any payment received on or after September 16th will be subject to 1% interest and an additional 1% on the first day of each following month. By Charter, penalties or interest cannot be waived for any reason.
