CITY OF WAYNE: Campaign, Ballot Initiative, Event, Garage Sale Signage

City of Wayne issued the following announcement on Sept. 27.

Presidential, Congressional, State, County, Local Candidates for office and any groups pushing a ballot initiative, please adhere to all rules in the City's ordinance regarding the placement of signs.

This message also applies to those holding events or garage sales.

Do not place signs in any right of ways, do not affix them to light or electrical poles or street signs (stop signs, street signage poles, caution signs etc). Signs that do not follow these protocols will be removed and if there is contact information on them the Ordinance Department will contact you to pick them up.

The City understands the right to place signs, but there are rules that must be followed and we appreciate everyone's cooperation.

Also, please remove signs no later than 10 days after the November election. Many are always left out after that deadline.

If you have any questions, please contact the Building and Engineering/Ordinance office at 734-728-9100.

Thank you for everyone's cooperation.
