City of Grosse Pointe Farms issued the following announcement on Jan. 8.
The Grosse Pointe Farms Department of Public Safety is in search of a few good people! We need part-time adult crossing guards. Crossing posts are at Kerby Elementary School and Richard Elementary School, both before and after school. Crossing guards will also assist the police department with bicycle inspections and safety patrol meetings. Mandatory state training is required and applicants must pass a criminal background check. Interested parties may pick up an application at the Grosse Pointe Farms Police Department located at 90 Kerby Road. Reminder, we are here 24 hours a day. Public Safety Department (313) 885-2100
