Plymouth Charter Township - MI issued the following announcement on Aug. 5.
As part of the I-275 reconstruction project, MDOT is planning to fully close the Schoolcraft Road bridge over M-14 bridge starting next week - Thursday, Aug. 12 for a period of 3 weeks to complete bridge rehabilitation work.
The full closure of this bridge will begin after the morning rush hour. There will also be intermittent lane closures of both EB and WB M-14 throughout this period. M-14 will maintain two lanes open during the weekdays with only one lane open on weekends.
The Metro Trail will also be closed for the 3 week duration due to the needed abutment repairs. Detour routes will include Five Mile and Haggerty Roads and will be posted by MDOT.
