Wayne State University recently issued the following announcement.

Date: August 18, 2021

Time: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Location: Corner of Woodward and Warren

Wayne State University's Office of Campus Sustainability will be operating a compost and recycling waste station pop-up Wednesday, 11am-1pm. We will be utilizing the Woodward/Warren Park where the WSU Famers Market usually congregates as our main drop-off location.

The goal of this pop-up is to serve as a place where the WSU community can drop-off of their compostable and recyclable materials, while also engaging in an educational experience looking into contamination and how much it can affect both composting and recycling

What can you drop-off?

Compostable Materials

YES!

  • Vegetable scraps
  • Fruit scraps
  • Coffee grounds
  • Napkins
  • Color free cardboard, no larger than hand size
