Detroit Public Library - Wilder recently issued the following announcement.
In the video, we meet David Gakure who is an Education Specialist at the Detroit Zoological Society. Mr. Gakure is also a storyteller and a safari guide in Africa! He has a program called "Tales of Tails" where he talks about how the tail of an animal tells stories. As he discusses lion tails. Lions have long tails that are used in many different ways including communication, navigation, discipline of young ones, as a signal during hunting, and as a weapon during a fight. Just like our domestic cats--watch your pet cat's tail, as when they swish their tail they are trying to tell you something!
