Canton Charter Township - MI issued the following announcement on Oct. 7.
As part of their Planning Assistance Program for Transportation Equity and Sustainable Infrastructure, SEMCOG has awarded Canton $35,000 to develop an Electric Vehicles (EV) strategic plan to site and prepare for the installation of EV charging stations in several township owned parking lots throughout the community. This plan will include a utility survey to assess availability of electrical power supply; evaluation of infrastructure needs, readiness, and expansion; benchmarking; public safety consideration; community engagement including public meetings and online surveys; and conceptual graphics and illustrations.
