In honor of the our 9th Annual Shop with a Hero event being held , please enjoy a throw back video to 2018. We are missing a few friends tonight from 2018, but we are especially missing Officer Rick Proctor. Rick loved this event so much every year that we had to drag him out of the store as he spent his own money on the kids! We lost Rick to cancer in 2020 and will fondly remember and miss him tonight!
This year, we are finally able to get back to our "normal" Shop with a Hero Event. We had to make many changes as COVID changed the way we did things the past couple years.
Holding to tradition, each kid will be taken to the Meijer Store in Flat Rock parade style and get to turn on the lights and sirens. We welcome any residents that would like to see the "parade" of lights and support this year's group of great kids to stop somewhere along the route within Huron Township.
THANK YOU FLAT ROCK MEIJER FOR HOSTING US!!
Here is the parade of lights route:South Huron to Waltz to Willow to Huron River Dr. (Past the High School) to Van Horn to Arsenal to Vreeland (Ending at Meijer). Lights and sirens will be deactivated at the end of the Huron Township border. We will tentatively be leaving the police department at 6:00p.m. When you hear sirens ringing, know that a kid is ringing them!
We are doing this together Huron Township!! Thank you, thank you! We will post a larger post at prior to Christmas with more information about your generous giving!! Tonight is just the beginning! Have a safe night everyone@
