To celebrate Black History month the community engagement committee will be hosting the following events in the month of February. We hope to see you explore the numerous opportunities! 

Program of EventsDisplay of Black Art in Grosse Pointe Park City Hall, curated by local artist Angelo Sherman, on display all month of February. 

Artist Meet and Greet with Angelo and other artists, Monday, February 13 at 6:00pm inside city hall immediately preceding city council meeting.

Screening of Black Godfather directed by Reginald Hudlin on Thursday, February 9, 7:00pm inside city hall council chambers.

Screening of Black Renaissance: The Art and Soul of our Stories, Thursday, February 16, 7:00pm inside city hall council chambers.

Evening of Food and Storytelling with Baobab Fare, Monday February 27, food at 6:30pm with stories immediately following at the Tompkins Center.
