The City of Grosse Pointe Farms invites the public to attend and participate in developing a streetscape plan to improve and unify the Mack Avenue commercial corridor on 2/15/2023 at 7:00 p.m in the Pier Park Community Building.  The streetscape planning is a joint effort between the City of Grosse Pointe, Grosse Pointe Farms, Grosse Pointe Park, City of Detroit, and the Eastside Community Network (ECN).  The entire study area encompasses Mack Avenue from Conner Street to Moross Road.   This is one of a series of meetings intended to obtain input from neighborhoods and communities along Mack Avenue on the potential designs and scope of future streetscape improvements on Mack. The engagement session will be led by professional planning and engineering experts selected by the partners in this joint effort and coordinated by ECN.

This meeting is geared toward Grosse Pointe Farms businesses, commercial property owners, and residents but is open to anyone who wishes to participate.  The goal is to identify specific features attendees would like to see improved relating to the appearance of the public areas on both sides of Mack Avenue, such as the median, crosswalks, street furniture, lighting, etc. This streetscape planning process now underway is intended to build on the Mack Avenue Corridor Plan concept completed two years ago with the help of residents and businesses along the corridor ( www.mackaveplan.com ). This streetscape engagement process is funded by a State of Michigan Enhancement Grant secured by the Mack Avenue coalition after the completion of the Mack Avenue Corridor Plan.
