Wayne State University head softball coach Nicole Tines, entering her fourth season this fall, has added two transfers from Notre Dame College to bolster the Warrior roster for 2025.
Joining the team are utility player Danielle Fick from Wolverine Lake, Michigan, and pitcher Grace Fisher from Painesville, Ohio.
"We are very excited about the additions of Grace and Danielle to our program," stated Tines. "Both athletes bring experience and depth to our team. We are looking towards the future and know both Grace and Danielle will help with our growth and where we want to go."
Danielle Fick helped Notre Dame College achieve a 66-51 record over two seasons, starting all 117 games. She batted .284 with 37 extra-base hits, including four home runs, and accumulated 46 RBIs and 32 stolen bases. In 2024, she started all 59 games at shortstop for Notre Dame College, leading the team in doubles and ranking second in triples, RBIs, and walks. In her freshman year in 2023, she led the team in several categories including doubles and runs scored while earning MEC Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition.
Grace Fisher compiled a 30-24 record with two saves and 344 strikeouts in her tenure at Notre Dame College. In 2024 alone, she struck out a school-record 203 batters over 191.2 innings with an ERA of 2.52. She was named to the All-Mountain East Conference Second Team twice during her college career. Her high school career included accolades such as Western Reserve Conference Pitcher of the Year.
Both players plan to major in Kinesiology at Wayne State University.
