Wayne State women's tennis concludes play at Block E Invitational with mixed results

Wayne State University women's tennis team concluded their participation in the Block E Invitational on Saturday, recording a 6-8 finish in singles and a 3-6 finish in doubles.

The event featured teams from Bowling Green, Findlay, Oakland, Youngstown State, and host Eastern Michigan. Representing Wayne State were Anais Ruyssen (Nantes, France), Malak Arafat (Alexandria, Egypt), Martyna Szpakowska (Gdansk, Poland), Dea Gorgidze (Tbilisi, Georgia), Justine Beaulieu (Montreal, Quebec), and Dessyre Obedencio (Warren, Mich.).

Head Coach Moore commented on the team's performance: "Our team has played a lot of tennis in the past few weeks, and they are showing up competitively every match. As long as they stay focused and keep working hard, they should continue to get better for the season."
