Karrington Seals-Yeargin, an eight-time track letterwinner from 2015 to 2018, is among the six inductees this year. She was a six-time All-American hurdler and a two-time Academic All-American.
Seals made history in 2016 as the first women's indoor track All-American in the program by placing eighth in the 60m hurdles at the NCAA Championships. She earned All-GLIAC and All-Region honors with a runner-up finish in the same event at the GLIAC Championships. That spring, she achieved Second Team All-America status by finishing 10th in the 100m hurdles at the NCAA Championships and won the event at GLIACs, earning further All-Region recognition.
In her junior year, Seals recorded the highest NCAA finish by any Warrior with a fifth-place result at the NCAA Indoor Championships. As GLIAC Champion in the 60m indoor hurdles, she was named All-Region again. She also received a Second Team All-America certificate with a 12th-place finish in the 100m hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Championships and finished third in that event at GLIACs.
During her senior season, Seals received a GLIAC Commissioner's Award for academic and athletic excellence. She was named Second Team All-American after placing 10th in the 60m hurdles at the NCAA Indoor Championships and won her second consecutive GLIAC title while being honored with another All-Region recognition. Her collegiate career concluded with a sixth-place finish in the 100m hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Championship, earning First Team All-America accolades. At the 2018 GLIAC Outdoor Championships, she won the 100m hurdles, placed second in long jump, and contributed to a fifth-place finish for her team’s relay squad.
Even six years post-graduation, Seals holds records for top all-time indoor times in both events: top 21 times for 60m hurdles and top 11 (and 26 of top 27) times for outdoor events like the 100m hurdles.
A Biological Sciences Honors major, Seals was an eight-time Academic Honor Roll recipient and maintained at least a GPA of 3.5 over seven semesters. She was named WSU Female Student-Athlete of Year for academic year 2017-18.
