The Wayne State University men's tennis team concluded their participation in the ITA Regional Championships on Sunday, September 30, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Warriors finished the three-day tournament with an overall record of 18-6 in singles and 6-4 in doubles.

On the final day of singles play, WSU's three remaining players were defeated. In draw A, George Day lost to Semyon Tsyrenov from Rockhurst in the semifinals. Cedric Drenth won his semifinal match against Louis Keiner, also from Rockhurst, but was defeated by Tsyrenov in a competitive finals match. Max Faniel competed in the draw B consolation finals but lost a close match to Adhirit Awal from Purdue Northwest.

In doubles competition, Drenth and Day reached the finals after defeating Joao Martins and Francisco Lanuesse from Purdue Northwest with a score of 8-4. However, they lost their finals match to Lucas Gonzalez and Victor Lopes from Grand Valley State, finishing second in draw A.
