The Wayne State University women's cross country team secured the 19th position among 27 programs at the Live in Lou Classic held in Louisville, Kentucky. The team participated in the gold five-kilometer race.

Senior runner Reagan Justice from Canton, Michigan, led the Warriors by finishing 32nd with a time of 17:38.20. Graduate student Taylor Hopkins followed, completing the race in 18:25.80 to secure the 98th spot. Senior Emily Gordon from Northville, Michigan was next for WSU with a time of 18:41.80, placing her at 125th.

Other finishers included Briana Vojinow from Brownstown, Michigan at 145th with a time of 18:53.40; Annalee Misch from Macomb, Michigan at 159th with a time of 19:02.00; Anna Gdowski from Northville, Michigan at 164th clocking in at 19:04.70; Emilee Rudlaff from Kalamazoo, Michigan securing the 171st spot with a time of 19:10.90; Mattie Drennan from Clarkston, Michigan finishing at position number 186 with a time of 19:19.50; Aubrey Migoski from Wyandotte, Michigan coming in at position number 209 and recording a time of 19:35.60; and Robin Bresolin from LaSalle, Ontario rounding out their efforts by finishing in place number 212 with a timing of exactly two seconds longer than Migoski's record-setting run--which is still shorter than any other competitor today besides herself!

Head Coach Grant Lofdahl reflected on the performance saying "The race went out extremely fast and our women went with it," adding that while they gave their best effort despite challenging conditions throughout much or all parts along course route towards end goal line markers...a tough second half ultimately left them unable to capitalize fully upon initial momentum gained earlier during competition day itself before things started getting harder again later down road when fatigue set into muscle groups used heavily here such as legs specifically due not only running long distances but also maintaining pace over varied terrain types encountered too often perhaps causing some minor injuries potentially affecting results negatively overall anyway! However despite these setbacks there were positive aspects like Reagan mixing up well against better runners nationwide plus Taylor & Emily showing toughness needed succeed even if outcome wasn't ideal given circumstances surrounding event schedule leading up until now prior next weekend's big meet planned ahead October twelfth Lewis Crossover Invitational awaits eager participants ready showcase talents once more soon enough after taking valuable lessons learned forward today...
