Wayne State volleyball hosts four camps catering to diverse skill levels

The Wayne State University volleyball program, led by head coach Tim Koth, will conduct four camps in July. These camps aim to cater to various skill levels and age groups.

The Introductory/Intermediate Skills Camp is scheduled for July 15. It runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with check-in at 9:00 a.m. This camp welcomes students from grades 1 through 8 of all genders. The focus will be on fundamental skills, with instruction provided by WSU staff and players. Participants will receive a WSU Volleyball t-shirt, and pizza will be served for lunch. Early registration costs $75, while walk-up registration is priced at $100.

On July 16, the Advanced Skills Camp takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with an early check-in at 8:00 a.m. It targets advanced players in grades 7-12 who have club experience, regardless of gender. The camp includes two sessions focusing on advanced skills and offers guidance from WSU staff and players. A WSU Volleyball t-shirt is included, along with pizza for lunch. The early registration fee is $95; walk-up registration is $120.

The Warrior Prospect Clinic occurs on July 17 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., following a noon check-in time. This clinic is designed for female athletes in grades 10-12 entering fall 2024 who possess elite club-level experience. Participants will engage in one session aimed at showcasing their skills to the Warrior coaching staff and partake in a Q&A session as well as a facilities tour. Registration costs $75.

Lastly, the Team Train and Play Camp spans two days on July 18-19, featuring sessions from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and again from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m., starting with an early check-in at 8:00 a.m each day.. It caters exclusively to female high school teams offering training sessions conducted by WSU staff and players in the morning followed by live play in the afternoon..
