Wayne State University's men's tennis team participated in the ITA Cup at Berry College, with matches held at the Rome Tennis Courts. In singles play, Cedric Drenth from Sulzbach, Germany, faced Cas de Ruiter of Harding University. Drenth won the first set 6-4 but lost the next two sets 4-6 and 2-6. He is scheduled to play against Pedro Liborio from North Georgia on Friday, October 11, at 9:00 AM.
In doubles competition, Drenth teamed up with George Day from Southampton, United Kingdom. The duo defeated Adrian Solorzano and Cas de Ruiter of Harding University to advance to the quarterfinals. They are set to compete against Luis Iriarte and Eduardo Cohen from Saint Leo on Friday, October 11, at 3:00 PM.
