The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced its 2024 All-Conference Teams, recognizing four Wayne State softball players for their performances. Junior right fielder Rylie Josephson from West Bloomfield, Michigan, was selected for the All-GLIAC First Team. Senior shortstop Shelby Miller from Georgetown, Ontario, earned a spot on the Second Team. Senior left fielder Abby Favela from Riverside, Illinois, and freshman catcher/utility Logan Forman from Brantford, Ontario, received Honorable Mentions.

Josephson played in all 24 GLIAC contests and ranked fifth in hits with 31 and ninth in runs with 15. She was eighth in batting average at .388 and 10th in on-base percentage at .443. Her total bases numbered 36, placing her 13th in the league, while her five doubles ranked 14th.

Miller also participated in all league games, ranking sixth in fielding assists with 49 and 11th in total chances with 97. Offensively, she was among the top 20 for runs (12), hits (25), RBI (11), sac bunts (2), and batting average (.352).

Favela tied for first place in triples with three and ranked eighth in hits with 29. She achieved an error-free record over 60 fielding chances during conference play.

Forman started every game as well, tying for third place with two triples and ranking high in other offensive categories such as RBI (13) and doubles (5). Defensively, she caught four runners stealing and had a total of 93 putouts.

Wayne State is set to begin its GLIAC Tournament against Ferris State on Thursday.
