Mikaela Senkus, a senior from Macomb, Michigan, representing Utica Academy for International Studies (Eisenhower), achieved a runner-up finish in the three-meter diving event at the NCAA Championships. The competition took place in Geneva, Ohio. Senkus scored 498.95 points, marking her seventh appearance at the championships with an All-American finish each time.
As of day three of the championships, Nova Southeastern led the team standings with 278 points. They were followed by Drury with 227.5 points, Colorado Mesa with 211.5 points, UIndy with 176 points, and Lynn with 107 points. Wayne State held the 13th position among the 34 teams that had scored points, accumulating a total of 59 points.
In other events, Jordan Fox secured a tenth-place finish in the consolation final of the 200 free event with a time of 1:49.31.
The NCAA Championships will continue on Friday with preliminary rounds starting at 10 a.m., marking the second-to-last day of competition.
