Following the preliminary rounds of the 2024 NCAA Championships in Geneva, Ohio, two members of the Wayne State University women's swimming and diving team have advanced to the finals. Jordan Fox and Mikaela Senkus will compete in their respective events during Thursday night's finals.
Jordan Fox, representing Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, secured her place in the consolation final for the 200 free event by finishing 10th with a time of 1:49.36. Meanwhile, Mikaela Senkus from Macomb, Michigan achieved second place in the three-meter diving prelims with a score of 480.95, earning her spot in the championship final.
Other competitors from Wayne State University had varying results. Elly Belmore did not advance in the 400 IM after placing 35th with a time of 4:32.94. In addition to Fox's advancement in the 200 free, Barbara Munoz and Alli Vassilakos participated but did not qualify for further rounds. Munoz finished 25th with a time of 1:50.70 and Vassilakos placed 43rd at 1:54.54.
