The Wayne State University women's golf team concluded their participation in Northern Kentucky's The Julie, finishing seventh out of 13 teams. The event took place over two days in Batavia, Ohio. Among the competitors, Wayne State was one of only three Division II schools present, alongside Glenville State and Thomas More, with the remaining participants hailing from Division I institutions.
Maisarah Hezri led Wayne State's individual efforts by tying for 17th place. This marks her fifth finish within the top 25 across seven tournaments this season.
The performances of the Wayne State individuals were as follows: Maisarah Hezri scored +10 (154, 75-79), Clarita Laffitte and Sabel Imesch both scored +13 (157), Beca Vestman scored +14 (158), and Orianna Bylsma scored +21 (165).
In terms of team standings, Purdue Fort Wayne secured first place with a score of +30 (606). They were closely followed by IUPUI at +31 (607) and Wisconsin-Green Bay at +32 (608). Wayne State finished seventh with a score of +50 (626).
Looking ahead, Wayne State is set to compete in Bowling Green's Dolores Black Falcon Invitational on April 6-7 at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio.
