Redshirt senior Josh DiCarlo from Wayne State University's men's golf team has been recognized as the GLIAC Men's Golfer of the Week. This marks the first time in his career that he has received this honor.
DiCarlo achieved runner-up status among 90 golfers at the Findlay Spring Invitational, leading Wayne State to victory in an 18-team regional competition. He recorded a three-round score of 211 (-5, 67-75-69), marking his best finish since winning the BrownGolf Intercollegiate on March 12, 2022.
Wayne State excelled against a field of Midwest Region schools, achieving a perfect record of 17-0. This victory signifies the Warriors' first season with two tournament titles since the 2021-22 season and their first spring campaign with two wins since 2017-18. The team has placed at least third in six out of ten events this season.
The Warriors are set to host their Motor City Shakedown at TPC Michigan in Dearborn on Monday, April 1.
