After a high-scoring Saturday, Wayne State University's baseball team secured a 6-4 victory over Parkside on Sunday. This win clinched the series for Wayne State, bringing their overall record to 23-12 and 12-6 in the GLIAC. The Warriors are set to play their final non-conference game of the regular season against Northwood on Tuesday at 3 p.m.

The game remained scoreless until Wayne State took the lead in the fourth inning. Kyle Ray's single to left field brought Mason McGuire home, and Drew Hill followed by driving in Ray with a hit to center field.

Parkside responded with a run in their half of the fourth inning, but Wayne State extended their lead to 3-1 in the fifth when CJ Maury grounded into a double play that allowed Nate Crossman to score.

The Rangers tied the game at 3-3 with two runs in the sixth inning. In response, Logan Van Sicklen scored for Wayne State after Jacoby Dale reached base on an error by Parkside's first baseman. Crossman added another run on Maury's sacrifice fly.

Parkside narrowed the gap again in the seventh inning, but Wayne State added an insurance run in the eighth when Crossman walked with bases loaded and Tony Hatzigeorgiou scored on a passed ball.

Ashton Potts pitched 5.2 innings without earning a decision. He allowed three unearned runs on six hits while striking out nine batters and walking one. TJ McAllister earned his first career victory by recording four outs and allowing one earned run on one hit. Macio Miller secured his first career save with two shutout innings, conceding only one hit and striking out five without any walks.
