Rob Lee, Jr. from Wayne State University has been recognized as one of the top performers in the recent GLIAC tournament. The Flint native was among five players named to the GLIAC All-Tournament team after averaging 20 points per game and shooting 55 percent from the field during his team's two matches.
The 2024 GLIAC All-Tournament Team included Max Weisbrod from Northern Michigan, Britain Harris from Grand Valley State, Amari Lee and Vejas Grazulis, both from Ferris State. Grazulis received the MVP title for his performance.
Lee's standout moment came during Wayne State's quarterfinal victory over Lake Superior State with a score of 87-78. He achieved a personal-best of 23 points, adding seven rebounds and a steal to his record. His accuracy was notable as he made five out of eleven field goal attempts, including three successful shots from beyond the arc, and was flawless at the free throw line with ten successful attempts.
In another strong showing against Ferris State in Marquette on Saturday, Lee scored a team-high of 17 points. He also contributed two rebounds and a steal while maintaining efficient shooting statistics with six out of nine field goals and two out of four three-point attempts completed.
