Wayne State University's men's basketball team is set to face two of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's (GLIAC) top teams, Lake Superior State and Ferris State, following a successful run of two consecutive GLIAC victories. Lake Superior State has been on a winning streak, securing four consecutive victories starting with a win against Wayne State on January 27. The Lakers have won seven out of their last eight games, with nine of their 16 overall wins achieved at home. They are known for outscoring opponents by nearly 18 points per game at home.
Ferris State has experienced a recent decline, losing three out of their last four games after previously winning ten out of eleven contests. Their home record stands at 10-2, marking the first time since the 2020-21 season that they have faced two losses on their court before the regular season concludes.
