Wayne State University's baseball team secured a decisive 12-1 victory over Davenport University on Sunday, splitting their four-game series. The Warriors, now with a record of 26-18 overall and 15-11 in the GLIAC, will conclude their regular season with a home series against Purdue Northwest.

The team's offensive effort was highlighted by Kyle Ray from Woodhaven, Michigan, who went 4-for-5 with three doubles, three runs scored, one RBI, and a walk. Drew Hill contributed significantly as well, going 3-for-5 with two RBIs. The top three batters in the lineup—Jacoby Dale, Ray, and Owen Tuccinardi—combined for an impressive performance with eight hits out of fifteen at-bats, scoring six runs and seven RBIs.

Freshman Owen Tuccinardi wrapped up an outstanding week by hitting .474 with nine hits in nineteen at-bats. He also recorded six runs, one double, two triples, three home runs, ten RBIs, and achieved an OPS of 1.685. Jacoby Dale added to the offense with his fourth home run of the season during the eighth inning.

On the pitching side, Ashton Potts delivered a strong performance by allowing only one unearned run over 6.1 innings while striking out four batters. Cam Rosen continued his streak of scoreless appearances from the bullpen. Evan Langlois closed out the game after Ryan Szlachcic faced difficulties on the mound.
