The Wayne State University swimming and diving teams are set to conclude their 2024-25 regular season this Saturday at 1 p.m. They will compete against Division III Calvin College for Senior Day 2025.

Head coach Sean Peters expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming meet, stating, "We are looking forward to hosting the Calvin Knights as we have our senior and parent recognition. This year, we celebrate 13 amazing seniors and fifth-year student-athletes, and it really should be a great meet. Calvin has become a top-tier Division III program, and I have a great deal of respect for them and their staff. I am excited to see some great performances in our final meet before the postseason meets."

Calvin College's team is led by Dan Gelderloos, who is in his 29th year as head coach. Under his leadership, the Knights have won 24 MIAA Titles with significant achievements on both men's and women's sides. The teams have also excelled academically with numerous Academic All-Americans and consistent high team GPAs.

In national rankings by the CSCAA, Wayne State's men are ranked 21st while the women hold the 19th spot. Calvin's men's team ranks seventh nationally, while their women's team stands at 17th.

The event will honor thirteen senior athletes from Wayne State before the competition begins:

Women: Sabine Branford (Plymouth), Evie Dice (Waterford), Julia Katulski (Novi), Barbara Munoz (Yumbo, Colombia), Alli Vassilakos (Clarkston), Hailee Waters (Dexter).

Men: Joey Dombkowski (Canton), Lucas Harding (Chelsea), Trevor Jones (Farmington), Clayton Kinnard (Dexter), Ryan Kruger (Livonia), Josh Mahaney (Saline), Julio Osuna (Tijuana, Mexico).
