The Wayne State University men's golf team is set to commence its 2025 spring season in South Carolina. The Warriors will participate in Ohio Dominican's Pawleys Island Beach Bash, scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday at The Founders Club at Pawleys Island.

Head coach Mike Horn shared his expectations for the team, stating, "We had a good fall and really set ourselves up for a solid spring. I am looking for improvements from everybody. We have to eliminate the silly mistakes and be able to execute when it is most important in the GLIAC, NCAA Super Regionals and hopefully the NCAA Championships. We are a very loose and fun-loving team, but I'm looking for us to get serious when the time comes. Great teams can buckle down when they have to and I'm looking for this team to be great."

The lineup representing Wayne State includes Josh DiCarlo from Amherstburg, Ontario; Luc Warnock from McGregor, Ontario; Max Leppelmeier from Wauseon, Ohio; Ian Smith from Canton, Michigan; and Tyler Hurtubise from Essex, Ontario. Additional players Andrew Daily from Brighton, Michigan; Harrison Chapman from Marshall, Michigan; Shawn Sehra from Windsor, Ontario; and Josh Lahner from Roselle, Illinois are also part of the team.

The tournament field comprises several nationally ranked teams: #15 USC Beaufort, #16 Gannon, #25 Wayne State itself among others such as #63 Ohio Dominican and #103 Indianapolis.
