Wayne State University's senior forward, Shea Tripp, has been recognized for her outstanding performance by being named to the 2025 NCAA Midwest Regional All-Tournament Team. Tripp's contributions were pivotal in Wayne State's 77-57 victory over No. 17 Lewis during the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.

In that game, Tripp recorded 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, and one steal. Her shooting was efficient, hitting six out of eight shots from the floor and making her only free throw attempt. She also made a three-pointer out of two attempts. Tripp's impact was significant early on as she helped her team build a strong lead with a +18 plus-minus rating in the first quarter alone.

During the match against second-ranked Grand Valley State, despite Wayne State's loss, Tripp managed to grab a game-high nine rebounds and contributed nine points along with six assists. Her efforts included seven points in the first period as she attempted to keep her team competitive.

Overall for the weekend, Tripp accumulated 23 points, 14 rebounds, nine assists, two steals, and one block. This performance marked Wayne State's first NCAA Tournament win since 2015.

Other players joining Tripp on the All-Tournament Team include Mackenzie Holzwart from Northern Michigan, Zoe Miller from Ashland, and Rylie Bisballe from Grand Valley State. Paige VanStee of Grand Valley State was honored as the Most Outstanding Player.
