Wayne State athletes prepare for Indiana Wesleyan Polar Bear Classic

Wayne State University's women's outdoor track and field team and the men's cross country squad are set to compete in the Indiana Wesleyan Polar Bear Classic in Marion, Indiana this weekend. The event will feature several members from both teams participating in various track and field events.

For the women's team, participants include Natalie Davies, Paige McArdle, and Emilee Rudlaff competing in the 5,000m run on Friday at 4 PM. In the shot put event scheduled for Friday at noon, Makayla Stewart and Ania Toboy will represent Wayne State. Both athletes will also compete in discus and hammer throw events on Saturday at 11 AM. Peyton Hansen is slated to participate in the javelin throw on Friday at noon.

The men's cross country squad will see Brady Heron, Sam Martini, and Kenny Minto competing in the 1,500m event on Saturday at 11 AM. Additionally, a group of runners including Tyler Brothers, Griffin Conway, Adam Hafeli, Ian Lewis, Aidan Lobsinger, Ethan Muraszewski, Sean Pettis, Jared Platt, Ethan Pruzinsky, Gabe Trevino, Anthony Vinson, and Andrew Yax will race in the 5K run on Friday at 4 PM.

Looking ahead to their schedule after this weekend's competition, "The Warriors will conclude March with the ladies heading to either the Texas State Bobcat Invitational (March 27-29), the Washington University Distance Carnival (March 27-28), or the Cedarville Yellow Jacket Open (March 29)."
