Graduate student Josh DiCarlo from the Wayne State University men's golf team has been named GLIAC Player of the Week. This honor marks the second occasion in DiCarlo's career. He received the recognition after a week of impressive performances, beginning with tying-for-second place at the Findlay Spring Invite in Richmond, Kentucky. DiCarlo matched his career low for 54 holes with a score of 208 (-8, 69-67-72).

DiCarlo's achievements continued with a victory at the Ashland Spring Invite, where he also scored a 208 (-8, 69-71-68), marking his second career tournament victory and his first since March 2022. Wayne State University placed second out of 18 teams at Findlay and first among nine teams at Ashland.

In the 2024-25 season, DiCarlo has consistently been among the top golfers, finishing in the top 25 in all eight tournaments. He recorded a scoring average of 71.2 over 20 rounds, with six rounds in the 60s and 10 under-par rounds.

DiCarlo and the Wayne State team are preparing for the UIndy's Ken Partridge Invitational, scheduled for Sunday through Tuesday at Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Indiana.
