The Wayne State University baseball team is set to continue its 2025 road schedule with a series against Grand Valley State University. Wayne State, carrying a balanced 18-18 overall record and 7-4 in the GLIAC, will meet Grand Valley State, which stands at 28-9 overall and 11-5 in the conference, for a four-game series. The games are scheduled from Thursday to Saturday, leading into Easter Sunday. The first game is set for Thursday at 3 p.m., followed by a doubleheader on Friday and the finale on Saturday, both starting at 1 p.m.

Grand Valley State's head coach, Jordan Keur, is in his second year leading the team, marking his overall record at 58-34 and GLIAC record at 29-17. Under his guidance, the Lakers achieved a 30-25 record last year, securing their first GLIAC Tournament Championship and a place in the NCAA Tournament since 2016. The Lakers concluded their league play with an 18-12 record and an undefeated 4-0 streak in the GLIAC Tournament to clinch the NCAA berth.

This season, Grand Valley State ranks second in the conference for batting average at .314, trailing only Parkside's .323, and leads with an ERA of 3.58, placing them fourth in all of Division II. Several of their players maintain high batting averages, and their standout hitter, Gulbrandsen, boasts an OPS of 1.043. For pitching, five Grand Valley throwers have maintained ERAs below 4.00 over 25 innings or more, including Jayden Dentler, who stands at 7-0 in nine starts.
