Wayne State University’s baseball program will host a Prospect Camp on Saturday, October 11, at Harwell Field and the Doris J. & Donald L. Duchene, Sr. Athletic Facility in Detroit. The camp is open to high school students graduating between 2026 and 2029, as well as junior college players.

Check-in for the event begins at 9:00 AM, with activities starting at 9:30 AM. Pitcher-only check-in times will be communicated before the camp date.

“This camp will present the opportunity to showcase your skills and receive instruction directly from the Wayne State University coaching staff and student-athletes. In addition, each camper will receive their showcase metrics. The showcase will include game simulation evaluation along with enhanced showcase curriculum and an extended batting practice. There will also be a campus tour during the day,” according to the university’s announcement.

The camp staff will collect data throughout the event and share it with participants afterward. The afternoon session includes live action play where pitchers throw one inning each, hitters get at least two at-bats, and all campers have opportunities to play defense. Other college baseball programs have been invited to attend.

Fees are set at $125 for two-way players, $100 for position players, and $75 for pitchers.

Campers should bring cleats, baseball pants, a hat, all necessary equipment, and a water bottle. Participants will receive a t-shirt and lunch. Spectator seating and standing room will be available for family members or guests.

All participants are required to print and complete two forms prior to attending the camp.
