The Wayne State University men's golf team is set to compete in its second tournament of the 2025-26 season at the Folds of Honor Challenge. The event, hosted by Grand Valley State University, will take place over three days at The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Michigan.
Head coach Mike Horn commented on the team's preparation and outlook for the upcoming competition. "Looking forward to playing in the Folds of Honor Challenge," said Horn. "We had a good week of practice and the boys are ready. It'll be a tough challenge against some very good Midwest Region teams, including Grand Valley State, Findlay and Indianapolis. The boys are up for the challenge and very excited to see what we can do in this format."
Representing Wayne State among a field of 62 golfers are Andrew Daily from Brighton, Michigan; Jack Julian from South Lyon, Michigan; Troy Chapman from Lexington, Ohio; Josh Lahner from Roselle, Illinois; and Will Pollack from Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The tournament features teams from several colleges across different regions. In addition to Wayne State and host Grand Valley State, participating schools include Aurora University, Dallas Baptist University, Findlay University, Grand Rapids Community College, Indianapolis University, Lawrence Tech University, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Odessa College and Parkland College.
