The Wayne State University women's cross country team competed at the Lucian Rosa Invite hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The Warriors finished 12th out of 23 teams in the Championship 6K race, accumulating a total of 342 points.
Colorado School of Mines won the Championship 6K with 51 points.
In individual results for Wayne State during the Championship 6K, Ava Peters was the top finisher for the team, placing 37th overall with a time of 22:23.40. Other finishers included Emilee Rudlaff (57th overall, 22:44.30), Taylor Hopkins (81st overall, 23:06.30), Aubrey Migoski (93rd overall, 23:18.00), and Robin Bresolin (98th overall, 23:20.40). Additional participants were Anna Gdowski (105th overall), Ella Showerman (109th), Meagan Verellen (110th), Katie Rohrer (118th), and Sydney Smith (128th).
Wayne State also took part in the Open 6K event and secured first place as a team with a score of 45 points. Kendall Sears led the Warriors in this race by finishing third with a time of 23:58.30. Reese Hansen placed sixth, Sarah Greb finished tenth, Remi Flanz was eleventh, and Jessica Denver came in sixteenth.
The next scheduled competition for Wayne State is at Muskegon Community College's Jayhawk Invite on Saturday, October 11 in Muskegon, Michigan.
