The Wayne State University women's tennis team concluded its participation in the Hidden Duals tournament, which took place at Bowling Green State University's Keefe Tennis Courts in Bowling Green, Ohio. The event featured teams from Butler University, the University of Findlay, and Bowling Green State.

Wayne State competed against each school over two days, with matches in both singles and doubles formats. Malak Arafat achieved a 2-1 record in singles play, earning victories over players from Butler (6-0, 5-7, 10-4) and Findlay (6-1, 6-4). Martyna Szpakowska also finished singles with a 2-1 mark by defeating opponents from Butler (6-4, 6-3) and Bowling Green State (6-4, 7-5).

In doubles competition, Arafat and Szpakowska went undefeated with a 3-0 record. They posted wins against teams from Findlay (6-4), Butler (6-3), and Bowling Green State (6-3). Another Wayne State pairing—Justine Beaulieu and Rebecca Laynes—secured a doubles win against a Bowling Green duo with a score of 6-2.

Other weekend records for Wayne State included Shantala Uzcategui finishing singles play at 1-2. Selin Kayakent, Shanice Weekes, Beaulieu, and Laynes did not record singles wins during the tournament. In doubles action beyond Arafat/Szpakowska's performance, Kayakent/Uzcategui went 0-3 while Beaulieu/Laynes finished at 1-2.

Looking ahead, Wayne State is scheduled to compete at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional Championships starting Friday, October 3. The event will be hosted by Davenport University in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
