Wayne State University’s Department of Athletics will be represented at the 2025 NCAA Impact Forum, which is taking place in Indianapolis from November 10 to November 12. The event gathers leaders from higher education and intercollegiate athletics, including student-athletes, for sessions aimed at building cultures of belonging and well-being.

The forum provides participants with practical tools and information related to community building and learning strategies that can be applied on their campuses. Attendees will also engage in discussions about supporting student-athletes and addressing their unique experiences.

WSU has also been accepted into the Division II Enhanced Attendance Program. This initiative offers fully funded opportunities for student-athletes, coaches, athletic administrators, and other campus administrators from up to 26 institutions who are committed to fostering inclusive campus environments.

The Wayne State team attending the Division II-Only Enhanced Attendance Program includes Shelby Ripple (implementation team lead), Eno Umoh (Assistant Athletic Director/Compliance), Zack Belsky (Associate Athletic Director/Marketing and Brand Strategy), Nikki Trammell (Assistant Athletic Director/Mental Health and Wellness), Emmanuela Johnson (women's track and field student-athlete), and Devon Isaac (football student-athlete).

Student-athletes at the Impact Forum will take part in a dedicated session on November 11 focused on leadership development, well-being, and creating inclusive environments within athletics programs.
