On Friday, Feb. 21, former University Liggett School standout Preston Barr’s current college team, the Michigan Wolverines, lost 10-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the TCU Horned Frogs.
The game took place at Globe Life Field. This was their first matchup against the Horned Frogs this season.
The Wolverines’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. at Globe Life Field against Kansas State Wildcats.
Wayne State University’s men’s tennis team ended its season after losing to Northwood University in the NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament on May 11. Despite switching up pairings during doubles play and securing one singles win from Luis Klaus, they were unable to advance further.
Wayne State University’s men’s golf team has been selected for its eighteenth NCAA Midwest/Central Super Regional appearance since 2004. Coach Mike Horn expresses optimism about his team’s performance heading into competition starting May 7.
The Wayne State University men’s golf team is set to open its 2025-26 season at the Glenmoor Invitational hosted by Malone University.
